Brum Girl Skate - UK Tour

Last year, in a bid to cure my lockdown boredom and explore the city I'd moved back to, I decided to take up skateboarding. In my thirties. Taking up any male-dominated hobby when you're no longer a spring chicken was always going to be daunting, but then I found 'Brum Girl Skate' - a skate community of marginalised genders celebrating and empowering all wheels and abilities around the Birmingham area. I instantly became hooked and very much in awe of how supportive everyone was. It didn't matter how shit you were, all that mattered was trying and having fun. So in the summer, myself and a few others helped organise the very first 'Brum Girl Skate' UK road trip. With some funding support from Redbull to help with van hire, we drove from Birmingham to Derby, Nottingham, London and Bristol over the course of a weekend and had an AMAZING time. Here's a snippet of what we got up to...
(Shout out to Lil and Laury who drunkenly recorded the intro when I left the camera alone for 2 minutes!)
