Casey took to directing her own films at the impressionable age of fifteen, but lights, camera, action this was not. Instead Casey took to the streets of her hometown, Nuneaton, with her handheld camcorder and made skateboarding films influenced by the likes of Spike Jonze.
After graduating from Falmouth University she landed her first job as an Art Director for creative communications agency, Cogent Elliott. Her creative eye and ability to work to client specs helped her gain national recognition where she represented the UK twice for the Young Cannes Lions competition in both print and film categories.
In 2013, Casey played an integral role in helping set up Cogent’s in-house film offering, CogentFilm, to service the growing demand for online and social content. Here, she flourished as their solo in-house director, working for big name brands such as BMW, British Cycling, Jaguar Land Rover, Microsoft, VW Commercial and Heinz.
